XC – Expression of interest – European Championships

The Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission is seeking expressions of interest for riders to compete in the 2017 European Cross-country Championships which are being held in Darfo Boario Terme Italy 27-30 July 2017. A maximum of two riders would be sent (less if riders do not meet the criteria). 1 x Elite and EITHER a Junior or Under 23. Support staff will also be sent.

Criteria
The rider must have a current UCI competition membership licence with the country code “IRL”.
The rider should be displaying commitment to cross-country mountain bike racing by competing in the UK during the 2017 season.
The UK results should show high position finishes in either Elite, Expert or Junior categories (Top 10 results). High position results outside of the UK will also be considered.

Those interested in putting their name forward need to send an email to cross.country@offroadcyclingireland.ie attaching their cycling CV. An example CV is provided here.
This email needs to arrive by close of play on Sunday 18 June 2017. Riders will be selected by 1 July 2017.
