2012 Irish National Champs Results

Ewan Doherty (OC Tuning) is the 2012 Irish National Champion with Greg Callaghan (Pivot Cycles/OC Tuning) and Colin Ross (Rosco Lines/Intouch) completing the podium. Christopher “Kipper” McGlinchey takes the junior jersey by the smallest of margins; 0.044 of a second from Nukeproof team mate Dan Sheridan with Cameron Cornforth collecting the bronze. In the Masters category red hot favourite Glyn O’Brien (Nukeproof/Sombrio/AJ Plumbing) was pipped to the title by 021 Racing’s Damien Daly with another surprise package, Tomek Panszczyk claiming third spot. Miriam Haskins (Butterfly Spinning) was the Women’s winner by 0.118 of a second from Abigail Hogg (Full Cycle) and Tara O’Boyle.

Other winners were Ian McIntyre (Nukeproof) in the Veterans, Tom Sheridan (Eight MTB) in the Super Vets, Luke Cornforth (021 Racing) in a hard fought Youth category, Tommy O’Sullivan (Weldon Bicycle Suspension) in the Juveniles, Kelan Grant (Omagh Wheelers) in Senior and Gerard Oboyle in Sport.
