CALLING ALL YOUTH RIDERS
Cycling Ireland National Youth Coaching and Training Day: 2nd July in Mondello Park, Naas, Co. Kildare.
Are you a bike lover, under 16 years old, who wants to learn a little more?
Cycling Ireland is inviting you to participate in a training camp on a closed road circuit that is normally used in car racing.
Qualified, experienced coaches will be in attendance, including the youth development coach Martin O’ Loughlin.
During the weekend, sponsored by Chain Reaction Cycles, Dan Sheridan (Junior), Christopher McGlinchy (Junior), Ben Kennedy (U14), Jacob Dickson (U14), Luke Cornforth (U14), and Cameron Cornforth (U16) made their way from Dublin to Holyhead, ready to hit the testing runs at Caersws.
The Offroad Commission ran the first Offroad Development day of 2011 last Sunday. The purpose of the day was to begin an assessment of the riders who applied to become members of the XC Development Squad. Members of the DH Development Squad also attended to take part in the day as many of the training sessions and presentations would be equally applicable to downhill.
