Cycling Ireland MTB Development Squad at Final Round of British MTB Series

The Cycling Ireland Development riders will head over to Plymouth this weekend to take part in the final round of the British MTB Series.

The team will consist of 3 Development riders, Juniors Matthew Adair (Banbridge CC), Claire Oakley (WXC) and Youth rider Rob Deagan (EPICMTB),  supported by Ciara MacManus (acting team manager) and Conor Graham (assistant manager/mechanic).  This will be Matthew’s first British National race of 2011 and he will be hoping to capitalise on his winning form which he showed at the fifth round of the Scottish XC Series in Perth at the end of July.  Claire is currently placed 5th in the league and also hopes to build on her 3rd place podium in the earlier series race at Wasing Estate.  This will be Rob’s first attendance at a British National race and is looking forward to the experience of riding in a category which sees up to 45 entries.

Race day is on Saturday 24th and we wish all the riders the best of luck and good form on the day.  A full report will follow.
