Tough racing at the Downhill World Championships

There were 5 Irish riders at this year’s Downhill World Championships which were held in Val Di Sole, Italy on 25-29 August 2021. Defending the Junior men’s title he won last year was Oisin O’Callaghan. Oisin was fastest in the qualifying race and felt good for the big race. Unfortunately a crash near the end of his run left him in 5th place.

In the Elite men’s category Jacob Dickson finished 25th (22nd in qualification), Christopher Cumming finished 57th (64th in qualification) and Henry Kerr finished 67th (15th in qualification). Unfortunately Ronan Dunne crashed in qualfication.
