{"id":6189,"date":"2019-11-26T12:15:34","date_gmt":"2019-11-26T12:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.offroadcyclingireland.ie\/wordpress\/?p=6189"},"modified":"2020-10-28T13:05:51","modified_gmt":"2020-10-28T13:05:51","slug":"enduro-rules-updated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.offroadcyclingireland.ie\/wordpress\/2019\/11\/26\/enduro-rules-updated\/","title":{"rendered":"Enduro rules updated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the recent Cycling Ireland AGM, which took place on Saturday 23 November 2019, the following motions were approved for the discipline of Enduro.<br \/>\n These rule changes had already been discussed and agreed at the Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission in 2018 and are to keep the sport in line with the international enduro scene.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Motion 7 Proposed by C I Off Road Commission.<br \/>\nAmend AT 6 Article 7.4 as follows:<br \/>\nProtective Clothing<br \/>\nA <strong>full-face<\/strong> protective helmet, which must comply with established safety standards, is mandatory whilst training on the course and racing, including timed stages and transitions.  Failure to comply with this or removal of the helmet during racing and training may be subject to a penalty.<br \/>\nCycling Ireland recommends that all riders wear: Full Fingered Gloves along with Back, Elbow, Knee and Shoulder protection with a rigid surface.<\/p>\n<p>Motion 8 Proposed by C I Off Road Commission.<br \/>\nAmend Appendix AT.7 National Championships, Mountain Bike<br \/>\nEnduro racing categories to read:  Under 17, 17- 21, Senior Men, M30, M40, M50, Women.<\/p>\n<p>The above rules will come into effect for the 2020 season<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the recent Cycling Ireland AGM, which took place on Saturday 23 November 2019, the following motions were approved for the discipline of Enduro.
