{"id":5486,"date":"2018-04-25T20:29:52","date_gmt":"2018-04-25T19:29:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.offroadcyclingireland.ie\/wordpress\/?p=5486"},"modified":"2018-04-25T20:56:19","modified_gmt":"2018-04-25T19:56:19","slug":"xc-expression-of-interest-european-and-world-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.offroadcyclingireland.ie\/wordpress\/2018\/04\/25\/xc-expression-of-interest-european-and-world-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"XC &#8211; Expression of Interest &#8211; European and World Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission is seeking expressions of interest from male or female riders to compete in the 2018 European Cross-country (XCO) Championships which are being held in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgow2018.com\/sports\/cycling\" target=\"_blank\">Glasgow\u00a07 August\u00a02018<\/a> and the 2018 World Cross-country (XCO) Championships\u00a0which are being held in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lenzerheide2018.ch\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Lenzerheide, Switzerland 5-9\u00a0September 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A maximum of two riders would be sent to each event (less if riders do not meet the criteria) along with support staff.\u00a0 The race categories would be Junior and Elite riders.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Criteria<\/strong><br \/>\nThe rider must have a current UCI competition membership licence with the country code &#8220;IRL&#8221;.<br \/>\nThe rider should be displaying commitment to cross-country mountain bike racing by competing outside of Ireland during the 2018 season.\u00a0 Results should show high position finishes in either Elite, Expert or Junior categories (Top 10 results).<\/p>\n<p>Those interested in putting their name forward need to send an email to <a href=\"mailto:secretary@offroadcyclingireland.ie\">secretary@offroadcyclingireland.ie<\/a> and<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>stating whether you\u00a0are available to compete in\u00a0the European championships, the World Championships or both,<\/li>\n<li>attaching their cycling CV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An example CV is provided\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.offroadcyclingireland.ie\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Sample-Cycling-Resume-Cycling-Ireland-ver-1.0.docx\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<br \/>\nThis email needs to arrive by close of play on <strong>Friday 29 June 2018<\/strong>.
