The motion is as follows:<\/p>\n<div>22.\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>One-day Licences (Cycling Ireland Board)<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>That current rule G1.15:<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><em>\u201cAn appropriate One Day Licence will permit the holder to participate as a rider in Cycling Ireland Events \u2013 excluding Criteriums, Stage Races &amp; all National Championships; or as an official. This satisfies the requirements of rule T1. Such licence grants the holder membership of Cycling Ireland for insurance purposes only, in respect of that event only.\u201d<\/em><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Be replaced with:<\/div>\n<div><em>An appropriate One Day Licence will permit the holder to participate as a rider in Cycling Ireland Event, excluding:\u00a0Criteriums, Stage Races, National Championships <strong>or open races on or after 01<sup>st<\/sup> April\u00a0each year<\/strong>. <strong>Officials may take out a One Day Licence at any time<\/strong>.\u00a0Such One Day Licences fulfil the requirements of rule T1 and grants the holder membership of Cycling Ireland for insurance purposes only, in respect of that event only.\u201d<\/em><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>And add an additional rule under G1:<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><em>\u201c<strong>Members of a Cycling Ireland affiliated club holding a club competition licence may participate in Open Races promoted by the club of which they are a member.<\/strong>\u201d<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em><\/em>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>The intention of this motion is to exclude the use of &#8220;One Day Licences&#8221; at open races after April 1st each year.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>We would encourage members of Offroad Clubs who have opinions on this motion, either for or against,\u00a0to attend the AGM in order to have their opinions aired and to vote accordingly.<\/div>\n<div><em><\/em>\u00a0<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Cycling Ireland AGM is taking place on November 3rd in Clonmel.
