{"id":3450,"date":"2012-08-13T18:00:04","date_gmt":"2012-08-13T17:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.offroadcyclingireland.ie\/wordpress\/?p=3450"},"modified":"2012-08-15T22:59:16","modified_gmt":"2012-08-15T21:59:16","slug":"nominations-for-offroad-commission-members-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.offroadcyclingireland.ie\/wordpress\/2012\/08\/13\/nominations-for-offroad-commission-members-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominations for Offroad Commission members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please note there are various positions on the Cycling Ireland Offroad Commission up for nomination.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Nominations\u00a0must be received by the Offroad Commission by Saturday 29th September at 1:00pm, any nominations\u00a0received after this date\/time will not be accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Nominators and nominees must hold a current Cycling Ireland licence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vacant positions for nomination:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Morgan O&#8217;Connell (current chairman) and Fergal Kilkenny (current secretary) will be retiring from their respective positions in October.<br \/>\nSean Herlihy (Access Officer) retired from his position during 2012.<br \/>\nCiara MacManus (XC Development rep.) retired from her position during 2012.<br \/>\nMorgan, Sean, Ciara and Fergal are thanked for their dedication, efforts and work during their tenure and have brought about significant change, promotion and improvement to many aspects of the sport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Positions up for re-election as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Orla Baxter (Commission member)<\/li>\n<li>Alison Murphy (BMX rep.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Members who currently do not require re-election:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Natalie O&#8217;Carroll (DH Development rep.)<\/li>\n<li>Aine Conneff (Treasurer)<\/li>\n<li>Richard Thornhill (DH co-ordinator)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To nominate a person for election to the Offroad Commission, please send an email to <a href=\"mailto:offroad.commission@gmail.com\">offroad.commission@gmail.com<\/a> with the subject \u201cOffroad Commission nomination\u201d Nominations\u00a0must be received by the Offroad Commission by <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Saturday 29th September at 1:00pm<\/span>, any nominations\u00a0received after this date\/time will not be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>You must be present at the AGM to propose your nomination or have a representative to act on your behalf.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an example of a motion:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201d I [Joe Bloggs] CI Licence number: [] would like to nominate [John Doe] for the position of [insert proposed role\/responsibility here]\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please note there are various positions on the Cycling Ireland Offroad Commission up for nomination.
